The summertime Fort Lauderdale fishing has been awesome!!! The temperature has picked up quite a bit so we’ve slightly adjusted our charter boat times to earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon. Typically we prefer either 6:30-10:30 a.m. or 4:30-8:30 p.m. but we are very flexible.
We’ve been consistently catching our limit of kingfish while trolling over the reef. We also come across our share of Bonita (false albicor), Mahi, Wahoo, sailfish, and other coastal migratory pelagic fish. The best way to target the large blackfin tunas while fishing in Fort Lauderdale is to use live bait. Getting connected with one of these fish using light tackle is a great way to spend a day in the water
